SHAH ALAM, 1 June: The Selangor Zakat Board (LZS) presented donations to seven families that fell victim to the storm in Kampung Alah Batu and the Changkat Bintang Indigenous Village in Hulu Selangor on May 30.
LZS, on Facebook, informed that each family received RM500 to restore the mosque that amounts to RM35,000.
“Alhamdulillah, seven families affected by the storm received Zakat donations. Hopefully, this donation will ease their burden,” he said.
In the meantime, LZS also donated Zakat in the form of carpets and a PA system to the As-Syukriah Mosque in Gesir Tengah, Hulu Selangor.
The presentation was done before the Friday prayers on May 29 and saw the As-Syukriah Mosque receive a donation amounting to RM50,612.
