“Losing in the election, the votes were very little. That’s what I feel,” he said with a small laugh.

“After this (conference), I will go on vacation to go back to visit my wife.

“I am loyal to PAS because the Islamic struggle must continue,” he said during a press conference at the 61st PAS Annual Conference today.

Also present was the PAS President, Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang and the PAS Secretary-General, Datuk Mustafa Ali.

Abdul Hadi, in his comments regarding the matter, praised Mohamad Sabu’s readiness to continue to attend the conference despite losing yesterday.

“In PAS, there are all kinds. Previous history have shown that those who lost went home and did not enter the hall.

“At least our Abang Mat (Mohamad Sabu) is still by my side today and came into the hall for the second day of the conference,” he said.

Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man was declared as the new PAS Deputy President after defeating the incumbent, Mohamad Sabu, with a majority of 602 votes.

Tuan Ibrahim gained 881 votes compared to Mohamad who obtained 279 votes.
