SERDANG, 19 Oct: The creation of the Youth Development Trust Fund in Selangor went smoothly in addition to the improvement efforts made towards the development of the younger generation.
The Exco for Young Generation, Sports, Culture and Entrepreneurship Development, Amirudin Shari, said that the development will be done using reserves set aside over the years.
“We will use it through the youth education programme in career at the Putra University of Malaysia (UPM) and the first part this year is over.
“For the next year, we will enter it into the plan,” he told Selangor Kini.
In addition, he said that they are drafting a number of facilities for the young people and youth to use the fund.
Previously, Amirudin said that there are provisions for youth development and they are looking into proposals to establish the fund, but what is important is how it can be used for the development programme.
The proposal was made by the Hule Kelang Assemblyman, Saari Sungib, about sports, art and culture so that each segment of young people can be more developed with the involvement of various parties.
