SHAH ALAM, 1 Apr: Former Director of Criminal Investigation from the Bukit Aman Police, Datum Fauzi Shaari, described the armed invasion in Lahad Datu, Sabah, as being confusing.

According to him, this is because the police, through the Special Branch, have a capable intelligence system if the follow the standard instruction set especially in dealing with enemies who threaten national security.

“The terrorist aggression in Sabah is very confusing because of how they were able to penetrate the national defense security stage.

“How could they (armed terrorist) come simultaneously and bypass national defense?
