Setiawalk Elevated Route Expected to Complete at the end of 2014

PUCHONG, 19 Sept: The elevated route project linking the Damansara Puchong Highway to Setiawalk is expected to be completed in December 2014.

The project, which started in June, is being built to overcome traffic congestion at Persiaran Wawasan and costs RM11 million.

According to the Senior Project Manager of Syarikat Bandar Setia Alam Sdn Bhd, Chan Tak Siong, the developer has also built a new bus stop to replace the old bus stop at a cost of RM270 thousand at Persiaran Wawasan and will transfer existing trees on the project site.

“The construction of the bus stop is fully completed, so are works to replace the trees in the project site with new trees at Taman Tasik Puchong Perdana,” said Tak Siong at the Setiawalk Development Traffic Briefing to the Subang Jaya Municipal Council (MPSJ) today.

Meanwhile, the MPSJ President, Datuk Asmawi Kasbi said that Setia Alam has managed to keep its promise to solve the traffic congestion following the completion of the development project in Setiawalk.

“Thanks to Setia Alam because it looks like they fulfilled their promise to build this elevated route,” said Asmawi.

In addition to Asmawi, also present at the briefing was the Member of Parliament for Puchong, Gobind Singh Deo.
