The Chief Minister said that Klang Gates was his playground over 40 years ago and is a favourite place to play with his friends during the weekends.

“This is my roaming area when there is a long water trough for me to play every day.

“I will run from one end to the other because there were no iPADs or cyber cafes last time,” he said at the launch of the Gombak Quartz Ridge Coffee Table book today.

Mohamed Azmin said that the area was his family’s farm long ago to cultivate banana, lemon grass, pennywort leaves and so on.

In fact, he said that he and his friends were also fond of fishing at the dam although it was an offence and went home to his mother after that for lunch.

“I am not from a noble or well-off family, instead I was trained to learn to live a hard life and finally, form that difficulty, I am at this position today to understand how difficult are the lives of people who need protection,” he said.
