He said that being placed in Group D, together with Pahang, the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) and Penang is the major challenge for PKNS FC.

“We do not take lightly Penang’s challenge, especially since we are playing in their home. Victory ha always been the main reason for players to be more eager in facing the next game.

“Pahang will certainly make strong candidates. We hope that we can beat Penang and PDRM to be able to reach the quarter finals,” he said.

In preparation, he said that PKNS FC has undergone rigorous training in recent weeks in addition to friendly matches against Felda United.

“A 2-2 draw in the match recorded a positive marker and hopefully the players’ motivation will be increased by the actual match next week.

“Competing in the Malaysia Cup is anxious, but hopefully PKNS FC can shock to emulate the quarter-finals achievement in the last two seasons,” he said.

PKNS FC this season will be guided by the former Selangor player, E Elavarasan.
