MPSJ targets RM280 million in tax collection

SUBANG JAYA, 20 Sept: The Subang Jaya Municipal Council (MPSJ) targets the collection for assessment tax to amount to nearly RM280 million by the end of this year.

The MPSJ President, Datuk Nor Hisham Ahmad Dahlan, said that the achievement can be realised following the favourable performance so far.

“MPSJ targets a better achievement at the end of this year compared to last year.

“We have received about RM260 million and this year we want a higher amount,” he told the media yesterday.

He said that until now MPSJ has received good cooperation from users and relevant parties on the matter.

He said that the many and mobile counters, including in public area, as well as online payment, are provided to give more choices to taxpayers.

“The collection amount is already over 9- percent, higher than last year,” he said.
