The Bukit Gasing Assemblyman’s Office offers RM50,000 Community Activity Grant

PETALING JAYA, 5 Aug: The Bukit Gasing Assemblyman’s Office launched the Community Activity Grant (GAK) with an allocation of RM50,000 to encourage ongoing community programs.

The Bukit Gasing Assemblyman, R Rajiv, said it aims to encourage communities, non-governmental organisations (NGOs), local communities, youth and students with a creative ideas to hold program, activities or services.

“Activities undertaken must be beneficial to the local community.

“The focus of activities prioritised are for the development of the surrounding area of Bukit Gasing,” he said at the launch here today.

Rajiv said that the selected areas are in Section 1, Section 5 – 13, Section 14/1 and 14/28, Section 16 to 18 and Section 25.

“Every programme is given a maximum budget of RM10,000 depending on the program being run.

“People outside Bukit Gasing are also encouraged to apply with the requirement for the program to be carried out in this area,” he said.

Rajiv said that however not all applications will be accepted but it depends on the cost of the program.

“Applications that involve personal expenses such as shopping trips vacation, scholarships, medical bills and political parties will be rejected.

“The deadline for application is August 31,” he said.
