Failure to submit new planning permission, cannot revive licence

SHAH ALAM, 12 Oct: Licensees must submit the renewal of the planning permission and change of building to the Development Planning Department, the Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ), three months before the expiry date.

The Media Secretary of the Corporate Communications Unit said that failure to do so will result in them not being to renew their business licenses next year.

“Licensees who have the planning permission and change of building have to take this action.

“According to records, there are 508 premises that have to renew it for next year for various activities such as educational institutions, nurseries and kindergartens, nursing homes, budget hotels and child care centres,” they said.

They said that premises that are carrying out car servicing and accessories or any activities that does not allow parking in front of the premises have to apply for the seasonal parking for a year.

“Failure to do so will result in the renewal of the license next year to be interrupted. There are 196 premises that have to renew the seasonal parking in front of their premises,” they said.

MBPJ also advised for all business licences to be renewed before December 31.

They said that failure to do so will result in late charges imposed on each licence being renewed.

“The rate charged is RM50 for renewal starting January 2 to March 31, 2016, and RM300 for renewals made from April 1 to July 31, 2016,” they said.
