MB’s one year: Persistent in fighting dengue

THE Chief Minister, Mohamed Azmin Ali, has had the spirit and persistence to conduct walkabouts in the effort to eradicate the breeding of Aedes mosquitoes from becoming widespread for the sake of the people’s safety.

Throughout the year under his administration, he carried out various initiatives and to this day, it still continues with cooperation from Exco members, local authorities and the Department of Health.

Mohamed Azmin said that the state government wants trash problems, dengue, public safety and road maintenance to become the main focus after he was appointed as the Chief Minister.

He said that stern action will be taken against those found being Aedes breeding grounds such as termination of work notice, compounds or seizure of licences against developers if the same problems recur.

“I personally welcome the Minister of Health of Selangor so that every decision is made collectively between the central government and the state,” he said.
