BSA provides 150 RORO bins in conjunction with Aidilfitri

SHAH ALAM, 25 June: 150 Roll on Roll Off (RORO) bins are being provided around Shah Alam in conjunction with the Aidilfitri celebration.

The Shah Alam City Council (MBSA) Deputy Corporate Director, Shahrin Ahmad, said that hopefully the initiative will facilitate the people in managing bulk waste disposal better.

This includes old furniture such as cupboards, sofas, mattresses, beds and electrical goods such as refrigerators, radios, televisions, mobile phone chargers and so on.

“We also want to provide education to the people of Shah Alam about bulk waste management and the proper ways, especially during gotong royong activities.

“Hopefully, the people will cooperate in placing bulk waste in the RORO bins to facilitate contractors in collection,” he said in a statement.

A total of 150 RORO bins that are of 3 and 7 tonnes in size were placed around Shah Alam at Section 2 to Section 36 and in Section U1 to Section U20.

Services start from 4 to 12 July with RORO bins being placed in locations convenient to residents at residential areas.
