Going before the Sultan is the CM’s routine, no issue of dissolving the DNS

SHAH ALAM, 28 June: The meeting with the Sultan of Selangor did not touch on the question of dissolving the Selangor State Assembly (DNS), said the Chief Minister, Mohamed Azmin Ali.

Denying the report by Bernama, which was later cited by several local news portals, that he will go before Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah to provide the explanation, he said:

“There is no basis at all. There is no need (for the dissolution of the DNS).
Do not drag the palace into a political crisis. We respect the monarch institution.”
