SHAH ALAM, 18 June: The Selangor Zakat Board (LZS) will hold leisurely activities for the Iftar by visiting the poor and needy Zakat recipients throughout the Ramadan period.
The Distribution Office General Manager, Abdul Basith Hamid, said that LZS, together with the tithers, will visit selected locations and bring meals without informing the recipients.
“LZS will visit four or five houses to deliver meals to break the fast. One of them will be our choice to break fast together.
“What is interesting is that LZS will host the meal and the recipient and their family will break fast with the food we bring.
“Through this programme, we are able to educate our hearts and feel their suffering,” he said yesterday.
Abdul Basih said that other recreational activities that will be carried out is visiting the LZS sponsored bazaar which is also done in as a surprise to provide moral support to them.
“LZS will provide additional capital of we find they need help.
“In addition, LZS, together with corporate companies that want to provide assistance to the children of the recipients will take them to buy their necessities for welcoming the Syawal,” he said.
