Free service for 9th Petaling Jaya anniversary

SHAH ALAM, 17 June: The people of Petaling Jaya have the opportunity to enjoy a variety of free services in conjunction with the Petaling Jaya city’s ninth anniversary on June 20.

According to the statement from the Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ) Department of Public and Corporate Relations, the free services include the payment exemption for the use of halls, sports courts and the swimming pool.

The pool can be used for free starting 9am to 9pm, sports courts from 8am to 11pm and fields from 8am to 7pm.

However, the use of the Banquet Hall, Auditorium, the Petaling Jaya Square and the Petaling Jaya Stadium are exempt and subject to terms and conditions.

To promote a green environment, MBPJ also presented 1,000 palm and decorative trees that can be taken for free from the Jalan Penchala Nursery starting 9am to 1 pm.

Apart from that, the people also have the opportunity to renew or newly register for membership at the Petaling Jaya Community Library for free starting 9.30 am to 4.30 pm.

The special promotion however is limited to the first 300 people.
