TUNAS Assistance Scheme channelled to kindergartens automatically

KLANG, 14 May: The application procedure for the RM4 million allocation through the Selangor Kindergarten Assistance Scheme (TUNAS) to kindergartens and nurseries will be made easier and more systematic.

The Chief Operations Officer of Rantaian Mesra Sdn Bhd (RMSB), Kamsani Nasir, said that the proposed payment is made automatically from the state account to the accounts of the kindergartens.

“We plan to make quarterly payments three months once so that the issue of arrears does not arise,” he said.

He said this during the assistance presentation ceremony to 2,458 children from 124 kindergartens around Klang today.

They each received an assistance of RM50 a month starting January to March, with a total of RM366,870.

In addition, the People’s Nursing Assistance Scheme (Si KEMBAR) was also presented to 157 children from 20 nurseries in the constituency.

The assistance was presented by the Selat Klang Assemblyman, Dr Halimah Ali, at the Selat Klang constituency Service Centre this morning.

More than 8,000 children across the state has enjoyed the benefits of the TUNAS Scheme since it was launched in 2012.
