BN Assemblyman supports the establishment of the Integrity Office to solve complaints

SHAH ALAM, 22 Apr: The Selangor opposition welcomed the establishment of the Integrity Office in the state in the interest of the people despite different political beliefs.

The Semenyih Assemblyman, Datuk Johan Abd Aziz, hopes that the state government will emphasise on the implementations and action on public complaints received later on.

“If it can improve the quality of service, I welcome it rather that always opposing.

“What is most important is the implementation and action on public complaints. We do not want it to be rhetorical,” he told Selangor Kini.

The state government is in the process of establishing the Selangor Integrity Office and welcomes proposals by the Hisbah Office Officers (Ombudsman) to function in investigating public complaints.

On April 20, nine departments under the Selangor government’s administration signed the Corporate Integrity Pledge (CIP) simultaneously.

The move was taken to strengthen and practice the value of integrity in administration in the effort to empower public administration.

“Hopefully, the information delivery channel in this matter will be done widely across Selangor.

“Meanwhile, the method of complaints is simplified for the people in rural areas,” he said.
