SHAH ALAM, 17 Apr: Efforts by Lincoln University College (LUC) to foster mutual understanding across disciplines and concern for the environment among its students should be emulated.
The Exco for Education, Human Capital Development, Science, Technology and Innovation, Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad, said this when launching the Green Health Students Scientific Conference 2015 organised by the LUC Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry at the Kelana Jaya campus.
The conference was initiated by LUC and aims to highlight important issues concerning health, dental and environment.
The launch was enlivened by creative presentations by LUC students (including the winners of the best student project video, best oral project presentation and the best public speaker) who touched on matters such as the dangers of smoking, dengue prevention and the benefits of carpooling.
