Unisel and Canik Basari University collaborate to improve research

SHAH ALAM, 12 May: Canik Basari University, the fourth Turkish institute of higher learning, has chosen to collaborate with the University of Selangor (Unisel) after signing a memorandum of understanding (MoU) here at the Shah Alam Campus.

The MoU was held for educational collaboration between the two universities.

Among the highlights of the MoU involves the student and staff exchange programme.

The Vice-Chancellor, Prof Dr Anuar Ahmad, said that the MoU would benefit both universities in education and they plan to conduct joint research.

“We understand that they are interested in offering jobs to our graduates for the long term,” he said after signing the MoU with the Reactor of Canik Basari University, Prof Dr Yunus Bekdemir.

Also present was the Dean of the Faculty of Communications and Media, Prof Dr Azmuddin Ibrahim.

According to him, Unisel’s reputation in Turkey also played a role in why the Turkish university wanted to collaborate.

Prior to this, Suleyman Demirel University, Attaturk University and Zirve University had signed MoUs with Unisel.
