SHAH ALAM, 17 Apr: No words, just tears accompanied the visit by the Kajang Assemblyman, Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah, when she visited the home of Zainab Harun, 59, whose husband has been paralysed since nine years ago.
Zainab said that she did not think that the leader would be willing to visit her house to visit her husband, Raja Sabaruddin Raja Mahmud, 59.
“Who would have known that the well-known leader would visit my home. I am very overwhelmed and surprised,” she said when she was met at her house in Taman Delima.
Azizah said that she always takes the time and opportunity to meet with the residents in her area.
“In the meantime, we also donate where we can and listen to their grievances to be solved,” she said.
During her day visit around the State Legislative Assembly, Azizah managed to visit some of the residents, regardless of race and religion.
During her visit, she also presented donations in the form of cash and basic necessities.
Apart from visitations and donations, Azizah also listened to the concerns of the residents.
