SHAH ALAM, 16 Apr: The element of art in society, including the young people, should be instilled in the passion of chasing development achievements.
The Exco for Young Generation, Culture and Entrepreneurship Development, Amirudin Shari, said that art is among the factors contributing to the idea to make Shah Alam and Petaling Jaya art cities.
“With Art Cities, we will work towards involving the youth in various art activities.
“I think that currently many are involved, but do not just consider this only as a cultural tradition,” he said when contacted by Selangor Kini today.
In developed countries, arts is a viable industry, thus making it an economic resource.
Apart from ensuring that it will not die out in the passage of time, arts and culture can generate economic growth, particularly in the tourism sector.
