Curb illegal dumping, 7 lorries seized

SHAH ALAM, 25 Feb: Seven lorries were seized at five illegal dumping hotspot locations by the Subang Jaya City Council (MPSJ), that has been in operation since January.

MPSJ takes the issue of illegal dumping seriously as it causes discomfort to the residents.

“The offence involves dumping waste in public areas, except in the manner prescribed by MPSJ. All offenses will be followed by court action.

“Members of the public are reminded to not throw garbage in public areas under MPSJ,” said MPSJ in a press statement.

MPSJ will also provide waste collection services to the public in terraced and low-cost housing.

The fee is RM50 per tonne and MPSJ will conduct the garbage collection within 24 hours.
