The campaign aims to encourage the involvement of the community in implementing the Go Green practice and sustainable development by city administrators that are taking part.

The campaign also aims to encourage the people around the world to provide encouragement and support to cities to work towards a greener environment.

The ‘We Love Cities’ campaign is part of a activity held in MBSA’s effort to receive the National Earth Hour Capital Award that will take place on April 9 in South Korea in conjunction with the ICLE World Congress.

In relation to this, the Council seeks cooperation from the public, especially residents of Shah Alam, to vote and support green initiatives undertaken by the Council through the ‘We Love Cities’ website at http://www.welovecities.org/shah-alam.

The public can also support this campaign by uploading pictures of tourist sites, places of interest, landmarks and buildings around Shah Alam through Instagram with the caption #weloveshahalam.

Support from the public will help the Council create a Shah Alam community that is proactive in green environment and continuous sustainable development.

Furthermore, votes and community support would also be able to put the city of Shah Alam at par with great cities in the world like New York, Tokyo, Istanbul, London, Rio de Janeiro and many more.
