Do not rent commercial licences to foreigners

KLANG, 26 Jan: The people have been asked to not rent out business licences to foreigners because it will cause problems to the owner in the future.

The Klang Municipal Council (MPK) Yang DiPertua, Datuk Mohammad Yacob, said that land and premises owners are reminded to not allow foreign nationals to use assets owned by them to avoid decisive action from the council, including demolition and confiscation.

He said that MPK will not compromise on the issue of foreign traders and will continue enforcement against premises identifies, especially in this area.

He said that the business community should be more responsible and take the opportunity they have with the licences owned to develop themselves and their families.

“It can be done if they do not only depend on the rent paid by other people, including foreigners conducting businesses on their premises,” he said.

MPK recently implemented law enforcement with the Ops Bersih Penjaja Warga Asing (Foreign Traders Clean-up Operations) at Jalan Papan, Pandamaran, Klang.
