Further action on RM2.6 million gratuity issue announced next week

SHAH ALAM, 16 Jan: Further action will be taken by the state government against the four former assistants of the former Chief Minister, Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim, on the issue of the gratuity payment worth RM2.6 million will only be announced next week.

The Chief Minister, Mohamed Azmin Ali, said that this is to give the opportunity to the former Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Menteri Besar Incorporated (MBI), Faekah Husin, and seven others to return the payment before the period of 14 days is over.

“They were given two weeks and only after that period will the state government and MBI make a stand for further action,” he told reporters at SUK today.

Mohamed Azmin said that all Abdul Khalid’s assistants have the right to express their stance on the issue involved.

“That is their right. I do not know. They were given two weeks and only after two weeks will the state government and MBI make a stand for further action.

“We must respect the period that was given,” he said.
