SHAH ALAM, 6 Dec: The Selangor State Assembly Opposition Leader, Datuk Mohd Shamsudin Lias, will hold a media conference to announce his decision on whether he would accept or reject the appointment as the Chairman of the state Public Accounts Committee (PAC).
When contacted by Selangor Kini, he informed that the media conference will be held at the State Assembly office at 10am on December 8.
“Wait until Monday. I will hold a media conference at the State Assembly office at 10am,” said the Sungai Burong Assemblyman.
The Assembly previously approved the amendment of the Standing Order 68 (1) for the Opposition Leader to be appointed as the Chairman of the PAC, which also includes a Barisan Nasional Assemblyman and five other Pakatan Rakyat (PR) Assemblymen.
Mohd Shamsudin is likely to face demands to resign as the Opposition Leader if he refuses the appointment.
