CM: “Please receive the RM200,000 allocation for the people”

SHAH ALAM, 28 Nov: The stillness of the Selangor State Assembly (DNS) yesterday evening changed tone when Chief Minister Mohamed Azmin Ali responded to teasings by BN Assemblymen, including Opposition Leader Datuk Shamsudin Lias.

Speaking at the winding-up session, Mohamed Azmin, among others, requested for all 12 Umno representatives to receive the allocation of RM200,000, which was previously refused.

“Despite being refused, we maintain the RM200,000.

“I beg you to receive it for the people,” Mohamed Azmin said smiling.

Shamsudin then interjected to ask for the full allocation of RM700,000 to be given to Umno Assembly, as received by Assemblymen from the Selangor government.

However, Mohamed Azmin said that the areas won by the opposition will only receive RM200,000, with the remaining RM500,000 being managed by the coordinators.

“But the amount remains the same; RM700,000.

“For every beginning, there must be a first step. Now it is RM200,000. The next step if Yang Berhormat enters Pakatan, you will receive RM700,000,” said Mohamed Azmin, welcomed clamorously by other Assemblymen.

The casual banter was interrupted by Sulaiman Abdul Razak (BN-Permatang), who started asking about Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim’s fate, whose seat is now next to him.

“Just now you mentioned 12 BN Assemblymen, how come the friend beside me, who is not present, was not mentioned,” he quipped.

Uncompromising, Mohamed Azmin replied Sulaiman that the former Chief Minister will be given the same amount of provisions.

“Since when is Permatang concerned about Port Klang? Never before. Only today.

“He will also receive RM200,000. That is the principle,” he explained.
