KLLP 2020 takes into account the views of the people

SHAH ALAM, 10 Sept: The State Government will take into account public opinion expressed on the Kuala Langat Local Plan (RTKL) in 2020.

The Executive Councillor in charge of Housing, Building Management and Urban Settlers, Iskandar Abdul Samad, said that so far, there have been 144 objections and feedback received from landowners and stakeholders.

He said that among the proposals put forward is the need to alter the land status from residential to industrial.

“This proposal is based on the application by landowners and a study by the Kuala Langat District Council (MDKL).

“The details of the objections and feedback received will be discussed at the Selangor State Town and Country Planning Committee meeting and the Executive Council will be together to either accept or reject it,” he said.

He said this during a press conference after the Executive Council meeting at the SUK Building.

Iskandar informed that he personally chaired the public hearing for the Kuala Langat Local Plan Draft (Variation 3) 2020 which was held on September 8 at MDKL.

“This local plan takes into account the rapid development in the district.

“The Local Plan has proposed for lots of land that are strategic to be changed from agriculture to residential or industrial,” he added.
