Azmin: No Selangor Deputy Chief Minister position

GOMBAK, 23 Sept: The new Chief Minister of Selangor, Mohamed Azmin Ali, rejected allegations that a new position for a Selangor Deputy Chief Minister will be created.

The statement thus dispelled rumours spread that the Assemblyman for Chempaka, Iskandar Samad, will be appointed to the post.

“There is no Deputy Chief Minister post,” said Azmin during a press conference at his mother’s house in Kelang Gate Baru yesterday.

In the meantime, about 600 residents of Kampung Klang Gates Baru gathered to celebrate the return of Mohamed Azmin as the new Chief Minister.

Azmin, who is also the Member of Parliament for Gombak, took the opportunity to meet the parishioners of the mosque before the Zuhr prayers.

The event was then proceeded with the reading of prayers as a sign of gratitude for being appointed to the important position.

After that, Azmin moved on to the home of his mother, Che Tom Yahya, for a thanksgiving ceremony with his family, leaders and the people.
