The President of MPSJ, Datuk Asmawi Kasbi, said that the four-days, three-nights convoy was aimed at educating youth to gravitate towards a healthy lifestyle and avoid activities that are not beneficial.

He said various activities were carried out during the programme, including gotong-royong activities, crime prevention demonstrations, tree planting and visits to historical museums.

“Youths who participated in this programme were lucky to be given the opportunity to witness community living and evaluate what is good in their own areas and in other people’s areas.

“This programme is in line with the 21 local agenda aims; the participation of communities in the development of municipalities,” he said during the Closing Ceremony of the programme at The Summit USJ.

Asmawi said that the programme is part of a series of MPSJ motorcycling youth development programmes arranged since 2007 and has expanded in line with the MPSJ Strategic Plan 2012-2013, which is the formation of a civil society.

He said that the programme this time was jointly organised by MPSJ and the Subang Jaya Police Headquarters, the Anti-Drug Association of Malaysia (Pemadam) and the Malaysian Crime Prevention Foundation (MCPF).

“These efforts can help MPSJ continue efforts to maintain our performance as a five-star local authority and I hope that these efforts will continue in the future,” he added.

This motorcycling youth development programme is targeted at youth aged 18 years and above, with a minimum fee of RM50.

Throughout the programme, a variety of human capital development modules were planned to be applied in a variety of activities that are recreational, interesting, challenging and exciting.
