The Sultan said, so far, the raja Tun Uda Library has collected a lot of reading material enveloping various subjects that can be used as reference by the people of Selangor.

“The Raja Tun Uda Library is developed and has fulfilled my ambitions for Selangor to have a library that contains a repository of knowledge for the use of all people.

“I urge corporate bodies, statutory bodies and also those who have the ability to donate books to the Raja Tun Uda Library.

“Even though they contribute just one, two or three books, those books can provide explanation and knowledge to those who read it,” the Sultan said.

The Sultan of Selangor said this in his speech in conjunction of the Book Presentation Ceremony contributed by Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) to the Raja Tun Uda Library in Section 13 today.

At the event, 330 books, comprising of engineering and technical books (308) and child development books (22), as well as 10 computer units were presented to the library.

In the meantime, the Sultan of Selangor ordered Local Authorities responsible to provide appropriate public transportation for the public to visit the library.

The Sultan said that if this problem is not dealt with, it will make it difficult for visitors to go to the library, thus causing the library to be a ‘white elephant’.

“I hope that the City Council or public transportation providers will be attentive and cooperation on this matter so that the convenience of the people of Selangor who want to visit the library can be simplified,” the Sultan said.

He also said that the second and third phase of the construction of the library must be accelerated to accommodate the growing number of visitors.
