SHAH ALAM, 29 Jan: The Selangor DAP gives their full support to Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) in efforts to ensure victory for Pakatan Rakyat (PR) in the Kajang State Legislative Assembly (DUN) by-election.
In a statement, the Selangor DAP Chairman, Tony Pua, said that the Selangor DAP will give full assistance and support to PKR to ensure its victory in the by-election.
He stressed that as a loya friend, DAP will not leave or betray PKR when the party needs their full support.
“The Selangor DAP would like to declare our full support for the PR candidate, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, in the by-election,” he said, quoted from Malaysia Kini.
He said that the Selangor Pakatan Rakyat has proven its ability in governing the state in a transparent and accountable manner, in addition to eradicating fraud and corruption which allegedly happened in the previous administration (BN), in the last five years.
“If Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s entry into the Selangor Pakatan Rakyat can help play a key role in bringing us to a higher level, then Selangor will be a good model for other states to follow suit.
“In the process, the achievement in the next four years will be a major stepping stone for PR to win Putrajaya in the next general election.
“To achieve this vision of change in the Federal Government, to be replaced with a government that is not only efficient, responsible and transparent, in addition to listening and doing the best for the people, we urge the people of Selangor to give full support to PR in the Kajang DUN by-election,” h e said.
