SHAH ALAM, 18 Nov: All eight dams in Selangor have recorded an increase in the water level, with all over the rate of 50 percent.

About four months ago, the dam was at a critical level, causing the water scheduling to be implemented to cope with water shortage.

Meanwhile, the Batu Dam was recorded to be at 94.75%, Klang Gate Dam at 97.73%, Sg. Labu Off-River Storage (ORS) at 66.10% and Langat Dam at 100%.

Meanwhile, Semenyih Dam is at 72.73%, Sg Tinggi Dam at 51.81% and Tasik Subang is at 73.11%.

The increase comes as a relief to the residents of the Klang Valley after the water level recorded a decline several months ago that led to the water scheduling being implemented.

The recent high rainfall helped in the increase of the water level at the dams.
