Azmin: No point of wearing Baju Melayu but stealing

IPOH, 13 Aug: Wearing clothes that are neat and smart cannot be the measure to prove that a leader is transparent in their administration.

The PKR Deputy President, Mohamed Azmin Ali, said that external appearance is not a priority, but what is inside needs to be assessed.

“Not outside (that is important), but what is inside.

“There is no point of wearing Baju Melayu, Songkok and Keris but steals public money. There is no meaning to the Malay race if money goes into one’s own account. That’s thieves,” he said at the Aidilfitri banquet with the people in Ipoh yesterday.

Azmin’s statement received cheers from over 300 supporters and members of the public that were present.

At the same time, he urged the people to make major changes in order to save the country’s crisis.

He said that it is evident from the weakening value of the Ringgit each day and the lack of foreign investment in the country.

“Corrupt leaders have caused foreign investors to have no confidence. The leadership crisis is getting worse and recently government officials are being arrested. What is happening?

“Therefore, I ask anyone who supports the reformation agenda to jointly reject Barisan Nasional (BN) and Umno,” said the Chief Minister of Selangor.
