Student activist a parliamentary candidate in GE14

SHAH ALAM, 2 June: Student activists will be upheld as a parliamentary candidate in the 14th General Election in line with the PAS Youth agenda to shale an al-helmy generation.

The PAS Youth Chief, Suhaizan Kaiat, said that activists allow the issue involving students to be debated in the Dewan Rakyat more effectively.

“We will propose to PAS and Pakatan Rakyat the candidate for the parliamentary seat among student activists either still studying or are graduating in three years.

“After over five decades, students are enslaved by the AUKU act. Youngsters want them to be freed through this bold move so that they do not continue to feel small and easily used,” he said.

He said this when giving the keynote address at the 56th Malaysian PAS Youth Conference at the Silver Jubilee Hall today.

In relation to that, Shuhaizan called on the young leaders at all levels to make students strategic partners in making community agendas a success.

“Do not ever make students our errand boys,” he said.
