He said that for the progress of the college, he has suggested talks with the state government to expand their operations, including the proposal to open Inpens branches in other areas.

“It is to meet the high demand received from across Selangor. The response from the state government is very good and we are waiting for agreement and approval for it.

“The campus in Kuala Selangor can only accommodate 1,000 to 1,200 students and it is limited, including carrying out various skills courses for students,” he told Selangor Kini.

Rosli said that Inpens is a focus of leavers of the Lower Secondary Assessment (PMR) for those who wish to follow the skills courses available.

Courses offered include Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanics, Mechnical Engineering Plan Drawing, Motorcycle Technician, Automotive Technician, Motor Vehicle Technician and Electronic Industrial Goods Technician.

He said that PMR leavers can pursue a higher education after that and it would shorten their learning period at the college.

“Inpens received requests from various companies to obtain graduates from this college. This is a good development for the progress of Inpens.

“For the rest of them who have graduated, some have continued their studies and some have opened their own businesses,” he said.

Each year, 400 to 500 students graduate from Inpens in various courses.

Inpens is a skills college under Selangor Menteri Besar Incorporated (MBI) which combines academic and practical courses.
