CM: Do not build RMMs like pigeon holes

SHAH ALAM, 5 Apr: Developers are reminded to not repeat the mistakes of the developers during the Umno-BN era and plan and build Selangorku Homes that are of high quality.

The Chief Minister, Mohamed Azmin Ali, said that low quality construction will make maintenance a problem, this contributing to social problems.

For the Selangorku Homes project, the state government will feature comfortable housing and encourage prosperity through a green environment, complete public amenities and strategic locations.

“So not keep the old concept; do not build homes like pigeon holes…and look for new designs.

“Thank God that the developers in Selangor now are more innovative such as Sin Heap Lee Development Sdn Bhd which uses the Facing Bricks Facade concept.

“That is why we are choosing bigger develops with excellent track records to deliver results in building the best Selangorku Homes for the people,” he said during the Opening Ceremony and Registration of Selangorku Homes at Alam Budiman this morning.

At the same time, the Exco for Housing, Datuk Iskandar Abdul Samad, said that a special committee has been established to ensure the high quality of Selangorku Homes.

“Build these affordable homes like you are building a home for your own family. Make it paradise for them.

“Do not make it like hell and cause problems to the state government,” he stressed.
