CM: No water rationing, early preparations taken

TANJONG KARANG, 27 Feb: The Selangor government assures that there will not be water rationing during this hot season.

The Chief Minister of Selangor, Mohamed Azmin Ali, said that the Selangor Economic Action Council (MTES) meeting to discuss alternative measures for the hot season will be held next Thursday.

“I will call the MTES meeting next week to focus on one agenda only due to the hot weather and the possibility of a prolonged drought that is related to the global weather today.

“I will ask for a full briefing to be given so that we can make early preparations, including raw water to Selangor state water treatment plants, and also clean water that will be distributed to consumers.

“I do not want the problem of (water) rationing to repeat like last year. So, we will make early preparations,” he told the media at the Darul Iman Mosque in Kampung Parit Serong.
