MBPJ presents alternatives to replace Kidex

PETALING JAYA, 17 Feb: The Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ) will present several alternative proposals to the state government to replace the Kidex project.

The acting Mayor of MBPJ, Puasa Md Taib, said that the alternative proposals will be taken before the state government in the near future, including the provision of an alternative road or infrastructural improvements.

He said that MBPJ needs an exit out of Petaling Jaya 52 to the New Pantai Expressway (NPE) at the moment.

“The need is very urgent and so far, there is only one entry and exit road only.

“We will submit problems and proposals to the state government and the central government. However, it is up to them to decide on the future and the needs of the residents,” he told Selangor Kini.

Puasa said that MBPJ will continue the PJ City Bus service as an alternative to one of the current issues.

“We have implemented this project for over four months and it is a great success by MBPJ. It will take into account several new approaches and make two round trips as well as maintain the trip at 15 minutes once,” he said.
