SHAH ALAM, 4 Feb: The Subang Jaya Municipal Council (MPSJ) has implemented the Coupon Parking System at several areas in line with the road transport directive, starting February 2.
The Subang Jaya Municipal Council Yang DiPertua, Datuk Nor Hisham Ahmad Dahlan, said that the implementation of the coupon system can provide convenience to users and is an additional alternative to the existing methods of payment, involving monthly passes, payment machines and displays.
He said that the coupon system introduces can also save time because users do not have to purchase tickets at machines, instead they can obtain the coupons at nearby premises that are MPSJ sales agents.
“It could also facilitate users because they do not have to provide banknotes or coins to pay at the machines because they would only need to scratch the coupons.
“The management of this coupon parking system would also be easier and systematic to be controlled,” he said during the coupon presentation ceremony to users at the public market at SS15 today.
The scratch coupon can be used at all MPSJ areas while it is still valid.
MPSJ has also decided to postpone the implementation of the coupon parking system at some areas to create opportunities to the residents to know the matter better.
In addition, the postponement can also provide opportunities for MPSJ to review and examine the effectiveness of the coupon system in the area concerned until August 1.
