SHAH ALAM, 23 Jan: The execution of the Coupon Parking System by the Subang Jaya Municipal Council (MPSJ) is to provide convenience to users as an alternative method to the existing payment method.
The Corporate Communications Officer, Muhammad Azli Miswan, said that users no longer have to provide banknotes or coins to pay at the machines.
He said that it also makes the flow of traffic smoother because the previous payment method caused traffic flow that was not organised and not smooth.
MPSJ will implement the system on February 2, in accordance with MPSJ Road Transport Order (Provision Related to Parking), amendment 2014.
“The coupon used is a Scratch Coupon (RM0.50 per hour) that can be used at all MPSJ areas, as long as it is still valid,” he said in a media statement.
In relation to that, MPSJ invites individuals or companies interested in being coupon agents/sales representatives, with a commission of 10 percent for the sale of coupons to the public.
Individuals and companies interested can fill out the form available at the MPSK Parking Division, Department of Treasury, or get it online at the MPSKJ website at www.mpsj.gov.my.
