“When development can be increased, it will generate to strengthen economic activity.

“This situation will be supported with the principle of ‘value for money’ as it provides greater returns to the state government, thus the abundant wealth is returned to the people through a fair and equitable distribution system,” he said.

Azmin said this when speaking at the ceremony with civil servants in the district of Kuala Langat at the Sri Jugra Hall in Telok Datuk today.

Also present was the State Government Secretary, Datuk Mohamed Khusin Munawi; the State Financial Officer, Datuk Noordin Sulaiman; the Kuala Langat District Officer, Rosli Othman and the State Executive Council.

Elaborating, Azmin described the budget as emphasising management expenditure compared to development expenditure as being unhealthy and that it has been proven in a lot of countries.

“When management expenditure grows while at the same time development expenditure reduces, the people will continue to suffer,” he said.
