PKNS: 30,000 property owners have not settled property ownership transfer

SHAH ALAM, 19 Oct: At least 30,000 Selangor State Development Corporation (PKNS) property owners have not settled their property ownership transfer.

The General Manager, Azlan Md Alifiah, asked all owners to do so during the PKNS Mega Property Ownership Transfer Programme which will last until January next year.

“We want to make sure that the owners get the property they own. This is to prevent worse problems later on.

“If an owner has passed away, it will be a problem to the beneficiaries to change the ownership. It would also cause problems for the assessment tax and quit rent,” he said.

He said this to reporters during a media conference after officiating the PKNS Customer Friendly Day 2014 here at the Shah Alam City Centre (SACC) yesterday.

The Mega Ownership Transfer Programme 2014, which started on October 18, is scheduled to end on January 15, 2015.

The programme is being carried out at three separate locations; which are the Shah Alam PKNS Complex, the Bangi PKNS Complex and the Kota Damansara PKNS Complex, and this mega campaign is to ensure that the property ownership transfer is carried out by every owner.

“For those who cannot take this opportunity to settle this matters throughout this programme they can still do so and we welcome them to come to our management office,” he said.

In the meantime, the PKNS Property Collection Sale 2014 managed to generate RM2.4 million in sales during the eight days of the event.
