Duty as usual for PAS Exco to ensure the interests of the people are protected

SHAH ALAM, 12 Aug: The Selangor State Executive Councillor for Youth, Sports, Infrastructure and Public Amenities, Dr Ahmad Yunus Hairi, said that he will continue his duties as a State Government Executive Councillor as usual, as directed by the Central PAS.

“I will continue to perform my duties as an Exco until there is a new directive from the Central (PAS) after the Central PAS Committee Meeting on August 17,” he said when contacted by Selangor Kini.

He explained that the decision is being taken to ensure that the interests and service to the people under the administration of the Chief Minister, Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim, can be carried out as usual.

He clarified this as some parties who want Abdul Khalid to be fired deliberately raised a variety of assumptions based on the absence of PAS Exco members in Abdul Khalid’s press conference yesterday.

Dr Ahmad Yunus added that he is willing to meet Abdul Khalid at any time upon receiving a signal from the Chief Minister’s Office.

Meanwhile, the Executive Councillor in charge of Islamic Affairs and Agricultural Modernisation, Sallehen Mukhyi, said that he will carry out his duties as normal for the sake of the trust given by the people and the Selangor Government.

The Special Assistant to the Executive Councillor in charge of Housing, Building Management and Urban Settlers, Kamarulzaman Ahmad Noh, informed that Iskandar Samad will also attend programmes that have been previously arranged.

“Today, YB Iskandar will attend a meeting with the Selangor Housing Authority and tomorrow he will present work papers with the Housing Authority. No problems, we are working as usual,” said Kamarulzaman.

Meanwhile, a text message through the short messaging system (SMS) sent by Dr Halimah Ali’s Special Assistant informed that the Executive Councillor in charge of Higher Learning and Human Capital Development will carry out her duties as usual.
