CM Expresses Condolences for the Loss of the Late Aziz Sattar

SHAH ALAM, 6 May: The Chief Minister, Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim, expressed his condolences to the family of the late Datuk Abdul Aziz Sattar, who passed away.

“Condolences to the family of the late artist, Datuk Aziz Sattar, who died early this morning. May his soul be blessed,” said Abdul Khalid on Twitter.

Meanwhile, the PKR President, Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah, on her Facebook, also conveyed condolences to his whole family.

“On behalf of PKR, condolences go out to all family members of Datuk Aziz Sattar on his passing at the Kajang Hospital today.

“He was a great artist who contributed to the glory of the national film industry, Al-fatihah,” Wan Azizah said.

The legendary movie star, Datuk Abdul Aziz Sattar, 89, passed away at the Kajang Hospital early this morning after suffering a heart attack.

The protagonist and comedian in the film Bujang Lapuk died at about 2 am, according to his daughter, Sandakiah Aziz.

The late Aziz acted with the legendary artist, the late Tan Sri P Ramlee, and the late S Shamsuddin and the trio in Bujang Lapuk in the 50s.

His body was taken home to his residence in Bandar Tun Hussein Onn, Cheras, and will be buried at the Cheras Perdana Muslim Cemetery this afternoon.
