SHAH ALAM, 22 Jan: The Chief Minister, Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim, has instructed his private secretary to disclose documents in chronological order regarding the issue of the Selangor State Development Corporation (PKNS) Board of Directors issue.
The confidential documents, such as the decision of the State Government Executive Council (MMKN) and correspondence between the Chief Minister’s Office, PKNS and the State Government Secretary, has been disclosed using the power of the Chief Minister under the provisions of Section 1 (C) of the Official Secrets Act.
The Chief Minister’s Press Secretary, in a press statement, said that the documents are released to raise public awareness and stop speculations since this may jeopardise the internal investigations currently conducted by the state government
“The state government held strong by its transparency principle, Khalid added that it was only right not to keep the people in the dark on the matter,” the statement said.
