MPK targets revenue of more than RM1 million with MPK Plaza take-over

SHAH ALAM, 1 JUNE : Klang Municipal Council (MPK) sets a target of more than RM1 million in revenue following its move to take-over administration of MPK Plaza from the previous contractor.

MPK Chairman, Mohammad Yacob said MPK hopes that the take-over in February will be able to minimise the cost by up to 60 percent, previously paid by MPK.

MPK will need to bear the cost to renovate and repair the plaza in its first phase, he said.

However, he pointed out that the cost is not an issue as they expect to collect revenue within the next few years.

“We will install the air-conditioning system for a more comfortable environment even though the cost will be expensive.

“MPK will also repair the walkway for the entrance into the plaza, and also changing the original doors to glass doors and for shop lots,” he said during his visit recently.

Mohammad said MPK will hold a promotion for lots to rent by providing great discounts for any interested traders.

“MPK will be bringing in a few supermarkets to replace Mydin, which contract has ended,” he added.
