State Exco in charge of Religious Affairs, Sallehin Mukhyi said, the schools will be built according to specifications set by the the Selangor state government.

“We have a set of standard specification to build a school. For the time being, the state government intends to make Maahad Tahfiz Alam Impian as a model because the school is built within the compound of a mosque.

“If we take Maahad Tahfiz Alam Impian as a model example, the building cost came up to Rm30million but if we are building a three storey school without a mosque, it will only cost around RM17million,” said Sallehin, when met at the ground-breaking ceremony of Phase 1 for People’s Religious School(Kafa) of Al-Firdaus Mosque in Bandar Baru Selayang, today.

The state government will be building more Maahad Tahfiz Science Intergrated school in the upcoming budget.

“For the time being we are studying the first location to build the Maahad Tahfiz plus there also other offers to build it in allocated land in Hulu Langat.

“Even in Ijok there are residents who has agreed to allow the building of the school on a 40 acres land.We might also consider to build it in Kuala Selangor if the process is easier even though Kuala Selangor is not in our list,” he added.

Sallehin was previously at the ground-breaking event to launch the first phase of People’s Religious School(Kafa) of Al-Firdaus Mosque, at Bandar Baru Selayang.
