MPK sets target to shoot down 6000 crows

KLANG, 15 JUNE : Klang Municipal Council has set a target to shoot and eliminate 6000 crows in its shooting operation on Sunday.

MPK Corporate Department Director, Zaireezal Ahmad Zainuddin said they had to take action following constant complaints from the public regarding the increase in the number of crows within the area.

“The crows are known to stain locations with its faeces and also likes to go through the rubbish,” he said.

Besides that, part of the operation also involves setting up bird traps for the crows.

“Crows that are caught are then slaughtered and buried in allocated locations,” he added.

Even though the crows are not harmful to health and does not carry diseases to humans, it somehow causes unpleasantness among the public when they are in a pack.

Besides shooting them down, he also said that MPK is ready to listen to any suggestions and ideas from the public to assist in catching crows.
