MBPJ: Work faster, efficient services for the people

KUALA LUMPUR, 31 May: All employees of the Pateling Jaya City Council (MBPJ) have been asked to create and enhance their working phenomenon to be quicker and efficient in efforts to provide the best services to the Council and to its customers.

The MBPJ Mayor, Datin Paduka Alinah Ahmad, said that the staff at the local authority cannot be easily satisfied with what is done, and instead they should continue to think and strive to continuously improve their service.

She said that the aspiration is in line with MBPJ’s vision to make Petaling Jaya a sustainable and liveable city, with a good image and governance, as well as an environment that is harmonious and peaceful.

“We have a responsibility to provide the best services to the residents and the general public that can meet expectations, provide services that facilitate, as well as to be efficient, transparent, responsive and proactive.

“The high expectations of the residents impact all employees of MBPJ and because of that, we should be ready to face changes and the new wave in the delivery system of services,” she said at the MBPJ full meeting at her office.

Alinah also advised all staff to instil new values in their work environment so that it can bring huge benefits to customers; i.e. the residents of Petaling Jaya.
